A Beacon of
Hope
The Emperor & Dorcas Owolabi Foundation (EDOF) is a compassionate, non-profit charity organization founded by Princess Erelu Arike Olajumoke Oluwafunmilayo. It is dedicated to uplifting vulnerable individuals—especially orphans, widows, the sick, and the less privileged—through financial, emotional, and spiritual support.
About EDOF (Mission)
Emperor & Dorcas Owolabi Foundation EDOF operates on the values of love, care, and selflessness, believing every individual deserves support, regardless of their circumstances. With a growing reach across Nigerian communities, the foundation is committed to offering not just charity but hope, empowerment, and lasting impact.
The Visionary Behind EDOF
Princess Erelu Arike Olajumoke Oluwafunmilayo, the founder and president, is widely respected for her unwavering commitment to humanity. Her faith, leadership, and deep compassion have inspired many to join her in serving others. Under her guidance, EDOF has become a trusted source of hope.
Annual End-of-Year Giveaway for Widows
Since 2019, EDOF has hosted an annual party and giveaway event for widows in Ibadan and Akure. Each year, cash gifts and food items are distributed, allowing widows to celebrate the holiday season with dignity and joy. This initiative brings smiles to many who may otherwise feel forgotten during festive times.
Educational Support for Children in Need
EDOF believes that education is key to breaking the cycle of poverty. The foundation recently awarded a ₦406,000 scholarship to four pupils of GritHill Preparatory School in Ibadan: Kehinde Gbenro, Taiwo Gbenro, Isaac Arowolo, and Adeleke Hannat.
The scholarship was presented to Mrs. Gboyelade Temitope Racheal, the school’s proprietress, who expressed heartfelt gratitude.
Additional educational support was also provided to:
Usman Demilola, a 12-year-old JSS2 student being raised by a widowed mother struggling to pay ₦80,000 per term.
Adebisi Daniel, a 14-year-old SS1 student whose mother, after losing her home, struggled with ₦50,000 in PTA and school expenses.
Through these interventions, EDOF is giving children the chance to stay in school and pursue their dreams.
Olufunke’s Cancer Battle
EDOF also reached out to Adegbite Olufunke Olufunto, a woman battling breast cancer. The team, led by Pastor and Pastor Mrs. Afolabi Jombo and Pastor Mrs. Oluwapelumi Eluwole, visited her at Saint Emmanuel Hospital in Lagos. They donated ₦200,000 toward her medical bills, offering both financial and emotional support.
